Edward "Burkey" Payne, age 90, of Aston, passed away peacefully on Feb. 9th, 2013. Edward was a WW II U.S. Army veteran serving in many battles. He was a science teacher at Southern Senior High School in Harwood, MD, for 23 years. He will always be remembered for his joke of the day.
